Our Story
Established in 1998 DGD Papers LTD was founded by Liam Garvey and Mark Doupe to provide secure shredding services across the Mid-West of Ireland. The company now trades under its trade names DGD Shredding for our paper shredding services and DGD Technology for ITAD and Lifecycle services.
Over the last 25 years, significant investment has been made by the company to upgrade facilities, equipment, technology, fleet and people. The scale of its operation allows for nationwide capacity and DGD Technology are one of the largest contractors in Ireland for secure shredding services.
Data Protection
All of our team are professional, trained and security vetted. Additionally, we have our own in-house legal team to offer advice on GDPR compliance. Furthermore, we ensure all data is destroyed to the highest industry standard while also providing certificates of destruction for all data shredded. Our process has a strong chain of custody & our procedures are in accordance with EN15713 secure destruction of confidential data code of practice.

Sustainable Green Business
DGD Technology is committed to reducing or eliminating emissions through a number of initiatives. In 2021, we began our journey towards becoming a Carbon Net Zero company which included installing solar panels in the DGD Destruction Centre and office.
Being a sustainable company, we are continuously looking to implement new features that help to combat climate change and reduce carbon emissions even further. As a result, we are proud to have been won “Green Small Business of the Year” and the overall category of “Best Green Business of the Year” at the Bord na Móna Green Awards 2024.
We achieved Carbon Net Zero status in our scope 1 & 2 emissions for 2023. DGD Shredding is planning on achieving Carbon Net Zero status in our scope 3 emissions for 2024.
