IT Asset Disposal (ITAD)

What is Secure IT Asset Disposal?

IT Asset Disposal (ITAD) is the secure and compliant process of managing and disposing of end-of-life IT equipment while protecting data in line with GDPR and data protection legislation. It includes the certified destruction of data-bearing devices to eliminate any risk of unauthorised access or data breaches.

Why Is Proper ITAD Important?

Disposing of IT equipment incorrectly can expose your organisation to serious risks:

    • Data breaches from improperly wiped devices
    • Regulatory penalties for non-compliance with GDPR and WEEE directives
    • Environmental harm from landfill waste or toxic components

Our ITAD service is designed to eliminate those risks and turn your redundant assets into a secure and sustainable solution.

IT Asset Disposal with DGD Technology

At DGD Technology, we specialise in secure IT Asset Disposal (ITAD) solutions that protect your organisation’s data, reputation, and environmental commitments. From data-bearing devices to full IT infrastructures, our certified processes ensure every item is managed, and disposed of in full compliance with GDPR, WEEE, and ISO standards. Whether your business requires onsite hard drive destruction, offsite processing, or sustainable IT recycling, we deliver a transparent and traceable service trusted across Ireland.

Secure & Sustainable Disposal

Hard drives are extracted from all data-bearing devices such as PC’s, Servers, or Laptops. A full inventory is taken, and hard drives are shredded. All outer casings are dismantled and recycled.

WEEE-Compliant Recycling

We process all end-of-life office equipment in accordance with Irish and EU WEEE regulations, ensuring materials are safely handled and components are recycled responsibly.

How Does the ITAD Process Work?

Secure Collection & Chain of Custody

Eperienced Garda-vetted operatives transport IT assets using specialised GPS-Tracked vehicles and tamper proof containers providing a strong chain of custody

Certificates of Destruction

Certificates of destruction can be given for data bearing items which are shredded such as hard drives, Solid-state drives, and USB's

Outer Compnent Recycling

All outer components once dismantled are sent for recycling

Certificates of Disposal

Certificates of disposal for WEEE for other items not containing data, i.e. monitors, keyboards, mice, printers are recycled
